When you need a place to put everything together… build it!
When the studio is complete, everything will be easier to find. Then get ready for the next epic adventure! As for now, it’s all “lost in a box somewhere”.
The studio is the missing puzzle piece. When it’s done, projects stop disappearing into “that box somewhere,” and I can finally work without spending half the day hunting tools. Starting tomorrow (or last month or year, depending on when you're reading this) is when this goes from pile of lumber to a useable structure.
This build has been a long time coming—25 years of “one day” thinking, and a lot of real life getting in the way. I started the first build in early 2020 (yeah… that year), and all of it has to be redone. That’s annoying, but it’s not the end of the world.
I’ll post photo updates as things progress. If you check in and see new progress, congrats—you just helped keep me accountable.
Bonus goal: finish the house siding + roof as the studio moves forward.

Life goes by fast, and if you let it, it (you) will pass before you can fully enjoy living! Don’t let dreams escape without at the least trying to accomplish something. Life isn’t all about the money… BUT, if you don’t have much, dreams seem to take a bit longer to fulfil.

This has almost become a neighborhood icon, or maybe eyesore...
6/24/24 Day 4 Been cuttin' trees for 2 days. 92 degrees and high humidity.
5, 6 pickin' up sticks. I didn't get in any rush.
And a lot of rakin'. My back's achin'! When the dust settled, you can tell something got done!
Day 7, Another gorgeous summer day to be outside! A month has passed since this project was started.
After several setbacks on day 6, the main frame is up on day 7. Money, time, and energy are hard to come by at the same time.
Working solo takes time and creativity to hold a board on both ends! Day 5- 7 mid 80's 7/21/24.
Good progress, looking forward to warmer weather!

5/20/25 Spring is here, the leaves and weeds are back. Welcome warmer weather!
The roof is not yet complete, I was playing "beat the rain" and did what I had to in order to get it all covered.
That odd looking front will have a window and the business name on it. 11/8/25
Day39 Sidings next! Been raining and hot, then it turned into fall overnight. Mid 60's with some wind.
The porch turned out nicer than I had pictured in my head. I better hurry, snow's coming way to soon!
